It is a 5 axis CNC stone processing machine. It features multiple functions including cutting, irregular shaping, drilling, milling, carving, and sink processing.

The machine uses three linear axes (X, Y, Z) and two rotary axes (A, C) for five-axis linkage, capable of processing natural stone, artificial stone, ceramic slabs, and stone blocks.

What problems can a 5-axis bridge cutting machine solve for stone factories?

The HKNC-500PLUS uses five axes linked together: X, Y, Z, A, and C.

X, Y, and Z control the tool's position movement. A and C control the changing of the processing direction. The machine can process curves, beveling, irregular shapes, and machining in different directions according to the program.

If you are simply cutting straight slabs, the advantages of a 5-axis machine may not be so obvious.

However, if you start machining irregularly shaped surfaces, complex edges, bevels, chamfers, etc., the benefits of a 5-axis machine become more apparent.

The machining head can change the processing direction; the A-axis rotation range is ±90°, and the C-axis supports 360° rotation.

This allows the tool to change direction according to the program during processing to complete beveling, chamfering, curves, and irregular shapes.

Note:360° rotation refers to the C-axis, which is the rotation of the machining head, not the 360° rotation of the worktable.

The worktable itself can tilt up to 85°, mainly for convenient loading and unloading of slabs and operation.

 

From Drawings to Processing: A Simplified Process

The HKNC-500PLUS doesn't rely on operators manually controlling the machine step by step.

Normally, CAD drawings are created based on the customer's product, and then a machining program is generated using Pegasus CAD/CAM software. The system supports DXF file import, and the program is then sent to the CNC system for execution.

Once the slab is placed, the machine completes the corresponding processing according to the program.

Standard products can be cut directly.

For irregularly shaped products, curved contours can be machined according to the drawings.

If the product requires sinks, faucet holes, drilling, milling, or engraving, it can also be processed according to the corresponding program and tools.

Changing a product mainly involves changing the drawings and machining program, rather than redesigning an entire machining process.
